this trip had lots of roads like this, the Col d'Allos on day 2...

very high, very tired, only 80 mile to go...

please can I sleep here tonight...

near the top of the Col du Cayolle, 27km from the bottom somewhere down in the valley...

refuge 1km before the summit, scene of Ste's great escape and worst coffee known to man...

day 3, a flat day by comparison (it's all relative)...

day 3 was incredibly hot...

did someone suggest adding a loop on?..

we waited until John had taken the picture before letting him off the wall...

inside le châteaux...

day 4, down to 4 men and one goat...

there's 4 mountain goat's in this picture...

ste would have had a go at bungee jumping but it was 5€....

how I managed to take this dangling from the end of a bungee I'll never know....

a combination of heat stroke and the cost of orangina had Ste staggering around in a daze...

taken near the top of one of the hardest climbs on earth...

don't be fooled by these smiling faces, it was pure hell...

Spotted at airport news stand...
