About the event

Course Details

Start at lamp post No 3 outside the public library in Carr Street, Ramsbottom. Proceed via Carr Street, Tanners Street, Rawson’s Rake and The Rake to finish at the lamp post opposite Exeter Cottage, Chapel Lane, Holcombe, approximately 120 yards be-fore the junction with Helmshore Road. The course is some 947 yards long with an average gradient of 1 in 8.8.

Competitor Notes

1. Body and arm numbers will be used. Numbers will be available at the start, please allow time for fixing.

2. Riders must not stand in the road at the start or finish.

3. Please note the contents of C.T.T. Regulation 31relating to Hill Climbs and their conduct.

4. Please do not park on any part of the course, the road will be closed to all motor vehicles from 12:00pm for the duration of the event.

5. Riders will not be permitted to warm up on the course, there are plenty of hills in the area around Ramsbottom.

 6. Please keep your head up, head down riding is not permitted and may result in disqualification.

7. Please return your number to a Marshal on completion.

8. The wearing of helmets is compulsory for juniors and juvenile riders.

9. Please do not park on the Shoulder of Mutton Car Park.

The success and future of the event depend on the good conduct of all concerned as such spectators are kindly requested to:

Keep the roads clear for competitors.

Not to over-crowd the finish area.

Cheer as loudly as possible for each and every rider.
